I’m thrilled to welcome you to our Paint The City Purple Campaign (PTCP) global platform
—a space built with you in mind. Through this site, we are uniting as a global family, standing strong in our shared commitment to ending gender-based violence and empowering individuals everywhere to create safe, supportive
communities.
Whether you are a long-time advocate or new to the cause, know that your presence here is
powerful and valued. My journey to founding PTCP was born from a deep-seated purpose to
create change, uplift others, and, ultimately, to remind each of us of the strength we carry.
“Together, we are rewriting stories, breaking cycles, and amplifying voices that need to be
heard”.
Here, you’ll find resources, opportunities to get involved, and ways to honor the legacies of those
we’ve lost.
Visit our Purple Legacy Remembrance Page to share stories, connect with others, and
celebrate the lives and strength of loved ones.
I invite you to explore this website, discover new ways to participate, and engage with the PTCP community across the globe. Together, we are stronger, and together, we are painting the world purple—one step, one voice, one act of courage at a time.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. I am beyond grateful for your support, commitment, and belief in a brighter, safer future for all.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Portia Shipman
